[our engagement thank you cards]

A little while back now, Dan and I celebrated our engagement with a few close family and friends.
I decided it might be nice to design my own thank you cards for our guests so I painted a little watercolour of us both, scanned the image and then created and ordered cards through Vistaprint (extremely reasonable and quick as well!).
I painted us in the very outfits we wore that night!  Only half the recipients realised - the other half must have had a really good night!
Very happy with the final product.
And now we also have a little piece of art as a nice memento of the night.

In other news, we had our engagement shoot yesterday!
Stay tuned!!!

  1. Love this idea!! I am just starting to experiment with watercolours after years of telling myself I can't draw, and having lots of fun. Your art is amazing, and I love the fact that you've got an illustrated memento of the night. Cute!

  2. Just gorgeous Jane. I designed and illustrated my Wedding Invitations, Order of Service and Placecards - you should definitely plan that for your wedding, they'll be so special.

    1. Thanks Sharon! The plan is to do it all. It's six months out now and I'm thinking I should start so that I avoid any last minute panicking!
